Ever since the BLM gained dynamic momentum after the video of George Floyd’s murder was released I made sure to do a lot of reflecting on how I would work towards dismantling systemic racism in my day-to-day life. This is one of the ways. A collaboration between the National Association of Hispanic Journalist of New York, where I am currently the secretary, and the New York Association of Black Journalists. We invited New York Times reporters Sandra Garcia, CBS News White House Producer Fin Gomez, Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Deon Thompson and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Lecretia Wimbley.
